Artists often show a notorious lack of interest in legal matters of their doing, although copyright law is dedicated to them. In terms of artistic freedom, this is a plausible decision. However, the copyright law sets out certain restrictions which at the same time open up artistic space. We are on hand with help and advice concerning the artist’s artistic approach, advice with the clearance of rights and do help if something has gone wrong and legal problems do arise. It is our aim to ease the artist’s burden with respect to the aforementioned aspects.
As we are at the same time familiar with the commercial side of art, we advise artists, galleries, publishing companies, art dealers and other clients even when it comes to publications, commissioned work and the trade as well as the exploitation of art.
